Starting your project? Already working on one?
We are here for you.

What I need to know before ordering new Tune?

In general we would you to follow our pre-tuning guide, you will get the best out of your car when she is in the best shape, therefor we aim to be sure that she is, however we can’t force you doing so but then we can’t guarantee you that she will give you the Ultimate we set her for.

What-I-need-to-know-before-ordering-new-Tune

What is the best tune I can get?

Car enthusiast mix between explosion and igniting that occur in the power stroke, the first one is bad even if it gives more torque unless you like to rebuild the engine at every WOT and surly that is expensive isn’t it? the second one is what normally happens in the power stroke and that gives us torque. Power stroke is basically a combination of Fuel + Air + Spark, the factory tune aim to give you the best torque with the best fuel efficiency and best lifetime for the engine, there is small room where this mixture can be tweaked for more torque or fuel efficiency but not both in the same time, the factory settings will already have the best engine lifetime you can get.

But when aftermarket parts have been added to the engine, it will affect the power stroke input and the best output will change, if that effect is small then the car ECU will adjust its live data to adapt to these changes, but still with external tuning you can get much better overall performance compared to what you get from the factory tune. Then the good tuner will tune the car to reach the best torque out of the engine safely as much as the engine can take, basically that can be done by modifying ignition component: spark and air/fuel ratio together with some other parameters, there is no safe way to get more power out of the engine than what the engine is capable of, and the best tuner is the tuner who can find the best mixture of these inputs. Basically, at UTL we like Torque not Kabooms.
Feel free to contact us at tech@ultimatetune.cy if you have any questions regarding your project.

What gives me more torque?

And which components need to be tuned?

And what is the limits?

Anything that gives you more igniting mixture can give you more torque:
Air inputs: air intake kit (CAI), throttle body (TB), intake manifold and the engine head parts like Valves and CAMs

Fuel: starting from the Fuel pump to the fuel lines all the way to the injectors

Spark: based on the car generation it can be reflected by spark plugs and coils or other older components like distributor.

Some parts will just give pure torque that can be installed at the drivetrain.

Coming from this list to many other things in your car that mostly can be tuned some mechanically like spark plug gaps and some digitally by changing the ECU parameters (the tuner job) but some parts will not be tuned like clutch & axle-back etc.

But what are the limits? Well, with the right parts there are no limits for how much torque you can make. but not the OEM parts, as each OEM part has its limit and based on the car model this can vary.

That is why we like to offer project care and planning where we can advise how you can start/proceed with your project for the best outcome with the lowest cost, feel free to contact us at tech@ultimatetune.cy to plan your project.
